Paris Jackson falls asleep in her father’s clothes
Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother and the guardian of the three children he left behind, says 13-year-old Paris still falls asleep in her father’s clothes.
Katherine says Paris asked for a piece of her father’s clothes that hadn’t been washed and still smelled like him, because she didn’t want his scent to be forgotten.
"She took a pillow and one of Michael’s jackets and said, ‘I don’t want clothes that have been washed. I want something that smells like him.’ She wrapped the jacket around the pillow, breathed into it, and said, ‘His smell is still here. I don’t want these things to ever be washed. He wore this and it smells like him. I never want his smell to go away.’"
Katherine believes Michael’s children will all become just like him—especially Paris, who insists that her room be full of photos of her father.
"They’re good, I’m good. It’s hard for a mother to lose her child. This shouldn’t happen. Prince is a very good student. He always says, ‘Grandma, I got a 98 (out of 100) on my exam.’ It makes me very happy when I see their smiles."
"They’ll all become like him, especially Paris. Michael’s photos fill every wall of her room. I brought an interior designer to the house and he took the photos down from the walls. But Paris put the photos back and said, ‘I want Dad to be on the wall in my room.’ I don’t know how she manages to tolerate the photos without getting upset, but she does."
