Spike Lee’s Birthday Party for Michael Jackson Was Canceled

With other celebrations happening in New York, it wasn’t entirely unpredictable that Spike Lee would cancel his two-year-old son’s birthday party, “Brooklyn Loves Michael.” On his website, he wrote—without any explanation—that the celebration of Michael Jackson’s birthday has been postponed until further notice.

The party was supposed to be held on Saturday, August 27, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, New York.
