New complainant’s attorney steps down

Just three weeks after the announcement of a lawsuit by a 38-year-old man against Michael Jackson and his claim of "recalling memories from twenty years ago," the complainant’s attorney asked a state judge to allow him to withdraw from representing him in this case. Joseph Thomas Bartocci, 38, had previously claimed that in 1984, Michael Jackson sexually assaulted him. Stephen Murry said he obtained evidence that requires him to step down from his position in this case. He called the evidence sensitive and requested that, in a separate legal filing, he explain this evidence and the reason for his withdrawal from the case.
