Jermaine Jackson: The Day Michael Had a Meeting When the Twin Towers Fell

Jermaine Jackson, Michael’s brother, says that on the day the World Trade Center’s twin towers collapsed in Manhattan, New York, as a result of terrorist attacks, Michael was at that location for a meeting. On September 11, 2001, the United States of America was targeted by a terrorist attack by Al-Qaeda, and the two World Trade Center towers collapsed as a result, killing about 3,000 innocent citizens. In his new book, Jermaine writes: "My mother stayed awake with him until 4 a.m. that day. Michael overslept, so he missed that day’s appointment—which, of course, I’m grateful for. He had an appointment at the Twin Towers that day." Of course, Jermaine did not say who Michael was meeting or for what purpose. Michael had held concerts at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan on September 7 and 10. After the terrorist attacks, on October 21 he appeared at a charity concert to support the victims and performed the song he had written for that purpose together with a group of artists on stage.
