Another video of Michael Jackson’s children in Gary

ABC in the United States has released another video featuring Michael Jackson’s children in Gary. You saw the first video here. Last week, they had gone to their father’s hometown, Gary, together with their grandmother and grandfather to take part in his four-day birthday celebration.

For your convenience, we’ve split this video into two parts. The first part is dedicated to Michael’s father’s remarks, and the second part to the children of the King of Pop. Download: Part 1 - Part 2

(Note: In a portion of the second video taken from the ABC7 website, the audio cuts out briefly.)

==================================

In the second video, 14-year-old Prince, 13-year-old Paris, and 9-year-old Blanket are seen taking photos with fans. They also do a very short, exclusive interview with the ABC7 reporter.

Prince says that being around fans in Gary has been a very good and interesting experience. In response to the reporter’s question about whether he was surprised by the huge enthusiasm people have for his father, he says:

“Yes, a very large number of people have gathered here for him. It’s amazing that he is loved and respected this much.”

Blanket says that Gary is a beautiful city and it’s interesting for him because: “Dad grew up here, and it’s good to see the place where Dad grew up.”

Paris says she is happy and describes the fans as lovable.

“Over these past two years things have become more balanced. And I think coming here and seeing Dad’s old house and all the fans who come here… what they’ve done is really lovable.”

She also says she wants people to remember her father “as one of the greatest and best men in history.”

==================================

In the first video, Joe Jackson, Michael’s father, says that these celebrations are held not only in Gary but around the world, and that doesn’t surprise him. He is happy and proud because it makes him feel that he did a good job as a father.

“Michael was the biggest star who ever lived on Earth. He sold albums more than anyone else in the music industry, and this record is registered in the Guinness World Records.”

Joe also said that Michael’s children didn’t know much about his achievements because Michael himself hadn’t told them much. But they’ve had the chance to learn about part of their father’s honors while traveling with him and Catherine.

“They are proud of their father and say that there will never be a second Michael Jackson. But we have another Michael. Blanket is exactly like Michael as a child.”

Joe also promoted a magazine and a perfume and cologne during his late son’s birthday celebration—products condemned for being illegal by the Michael Foundation and the company Bravado, which holds the exclusive rights to produce his merchandise. These perfumes and colognes are produced by the company Julien Rouas Paris, and in this video one of the company’s officials talks about the product.

Michael did not include his father’s name in his will, and Joe doesn’t receive a share of his wealth. For a long time, he tried through various lawsuits to obtain a monthly allowance from his son’s foundation. But this allowance is paid only to Michael’s mother and three children.

Michael has always suffered from the mistreatment his father subjected him to when he was a child, and he never hid this from the media, even though he said he had forgiven his father.
