KISS will not be part of the Michael Jackson memorial concert
With fans insisting and with the foundation of the King of Pop sending an open letter, the company organizing the Michael Jackson memorial concert had no choice but to back down.
Gene Simmons and the rock band KISS will not perform at the Michael Jackson memorial concert. The company said:
“ We have listened to the fans’ comments and are pleased to have learned of Gene Simmons’s regrettable statements. We also believe that although Michael admired KISS, we have no choice but to withdraw our invitation for them to perform at the memorial concert.”
So far, the following performances have been confirmed: the band 3T, made up of Michael’s nephews; Alain Ent Fann; Cee Lo Green; Alexandra Burke; Christina Aguilera; Craig David; D!versity; The Jackson Brothers; JLS; Leona Lewis; Pixie Lott; and Smokey Robinson.
