Bruno Mars: Michael Jackson Is the Best Memory of My VMAs

Bruno Mars—one of this year’s best-selling singers and one of the nominees for the 2011 MTV Music Video Awards—talks about his best memory from the event:

“One of the greatest performances I’ve ever seen in my life was Michael Jackson’s (1995). He connected the incredible performance to Smooth Criminal. He showed why they call him the King of Pop. He’s not human. When you looked at him, you saw dances you’ve never seen in your life. I think the most important thing when you perform at the VMAs is being able to pull out everything you’ve got in just a few moments.”
