Michael's publicist Raymone Bain has been quoted as saying what millions of fans have been hoping for. "It is in the very last stages, The record will be done."
There have been many factores contributing to the reason why the recording is not finished, including the fact that many of the artists have contributed their part via satellite. Ms. Bain has also said that "two or three" of the original artists who were supposed to take part but didn't for scheduling and other reasons, are back. Adding, "Michael is a perfectionist."
Ms. Bain has not provided a complete list of names, but, in addition to the O'Jays, some of the artists said to have contributed tracks are Snoop Dogg, Ciara, Jermaine Jackson and the Rev. Shirley Caesar.
The Single entitled: "I Have This Dream", is Michael's contribution to aid those who suffered devastation due to the rage of Hurricane Katrina. Shortly after Katrina hit, Michael commented, "It pains me to watch the human suffering taking place in the Gulf region of my country".
Although months have passed, Michael's new business partner Sheik Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa
has assured his fans that, "the record is coming along great,. "We've been taking our time to perfect it and mix it."
