Days before her son goes on trial, KATHERINE JACKSON says she lies awake most nights. "I can't sleep," the mother of MICHAEL JACKSON says. "I do a lot of praying."
"The charges [Jackson] faces are false and will be battled in a court of law within our justice system," his attorney said last fall. "He is innocent and will be vindicated."
His parents attended their son's arraignment last January and say they plan to support him with their presence throughout the trial. "I'm going to go," Joe says. "I may not get a chance to be there every day but I'm going to go."
They also say there is no way he could have committed the crimes he's accused of.
"We know our son," Joe says. "We know he's not a pedophile like some of those newscasters are saying. That is not true."
"A pedophile is someone that they prey on children," the matriarch of THE JACKSON FIVE says. "You put them in jail. You can keep them for 15 years and they come out and they do the same thing."
