Dear Simba, I think I need to explain some facts here. Adding to what dear Roya mentioned in her posts (lots of thanks to her, actually to both of you), it was not Michael's fault to be called as the artist of the millenium, was it? And surely it was such an special award for him on that event. Michael WAS presented with an award in honor of his long time contribution to music industry and well it was his birthday and they celebrated him with a special award. Whatever the award may be called. But actually the fact is not whether he was awarded as the artist of the millenium or not. He was earlier awarded by the American Music Awards as the "artist of the century" and it is official, and you can be sure of us having truthful SOURCES over this. Just read the news I include here in this page, they ain't just lies or claimings, they are all official and in no way they're just comming from MJ fan sites. May I say that not all MJ fan site give out the news as fast as news agencies like Reuters, so as a fan I myself can't wait to get the news by the fan sites (specially in some speical cases as his court process), so the sources I use are just as the ones others use, the only difference you see in the news I include here with the ones you hear from the tabloids is that they add some spice so that making money out of it could be more expected. I'm not sure if you get what I mean, but according to all reliable sources Michael still remains the most successful person in the music industry, he's sold more that any other artist and has won more than any other one you name. He's times and times mentioned in the Guiness Book of World Records and the book is a SOURCE. Why should he be judged in this unfair way when he tries to show his kid to the fans, and then be called as "a father who WANTED to put his son in danger"? I don't know what is going on with this world. Michael went all the way to Germany to receive an award, because of his successful career, and then in his speech he once again tries to let the people of the world (or Germany in particular) hear about the importance of Peace ("We don't need no war..." in his words) and the children who are to make the future, a better one hopefully. Nowadays we all talk about look into hearts of people and not judging about the way the look, and it's a sham that we ourselves just talk about Michael's face and not what he has to say in his words. I'm not sure if you've had a chance to read his book, "Dancing The Dream". The book is so full of touching words in poems and short stories. I can say I know him better, because I've read his writings, not because - as some others claim - watching him on the news on TV.
